About Carpano Antica Formula

Carpano Antica Formula vermouth is a classic sweet vermouth, and likely the first one ever concocted. It boasts a complex flavor profile, and while it goes great in classic cocktails like the Negroni and Manhattan, it's just as good served on the rocks with an orange twist as an aperitivo.

Carpano Antica was invented by Antonio Benedetto Carpano in Turin, Italy in 1786. It laid the groundwork for the hundreds of sweet vermouth brands that have come since, and to this day is one of the most popular varieties in existence.

About Punt e Mes

Punt e Mes is a classic sweet vermouth from Turin, Italy made by Carpano. Its name means "point and a half" in Piedmontese (a northern Italian dialect), which references its flavor profile: one point of sweet, half a point of bitter. The recipe comes from the popular custom of adding bitters to vermouth when drinking it as an aperitivo.

As a result, Punt e Mes is essentially unique among classic vermouths. Other fortified wines like quinquina are made with bittering agents like quinine, but in the sweet vermouth category this is a rarity. First formulated in the 1860s, Punt e Mes is Carpano's best-selling vermouth, and according to the producers was a favorite of FIAT founder Giovanni Agnelli in the early 20th century.

About Carpano Bianco

Carpano Bianco is a sweet, white vermouth produced in Milan, Italy. One of Italy’s most popular vermouths, it has only been available in the United States since 2013.

In 1786, Antonio Benedetto Carpano began producing vermouth by infusing muscatel with an aromatic blend of herbs and spices. Today, Fratelli Branca Distillerie still uses Carpano’s traditional methods to create Carpano Bianco—the most aromatic vermouth in their portfolio. Bianco is comprised of a white wine base infused with more than a dozen herbs and botanicals, including thyme, coriander, fennel, and Artemisia. The floral bouquet includes aromas of exotic fruit, cocoa, and almonds. On the palate, Bianco displays sweet, velvety flavors of vanilla and citrus, with a hint of minerality and bitterness.

About Carpano Dry

Carpano Dry is a clear, dry vermouth produced in Milan, Italy. It is the newest vermouth in the Carpano portfolio.

In a collaboration more than 200 years in the making, World Sommelier Luca Gardini—named the Best Sommelier in the World in 2009 and 2010—has collaborated with Fratelli Branca Distillerie to lend a new twist to Antonio Benedetto Carpano’s original 1700s vermouth recipe.

Carpano Dry is comprised of a white wine base, which is infused with Italian wormwood that is gathered from Italy’s mountainsides. Carpano Dry’s botanical ingredients also include Dittany of Crete—a rare herb from Crete used to impart Carpano Dry with its distinctive, balanced bitterness. The resulting vermouth has aromas of coriander, incense, lemon and candied fruit, and flavors of citrus, green apple, and wine.
